“Let the beauty of what you love be what you do.” Jalal ad-Din Rumi (Persian Poet and Mystic, 1207-1273)

(Please be welcome!)
I am Her Excellency Mistress Sabiha al-Nahdiya in the Society for Creative Anachronism.
I have studied the Safavid Persian persona for many years and then transitioned to Ottoman Turkish. I enjoy helping others begin the study of the Middle Eastern persona.
As new research and extant pieces have become available, I have realized that the construction of my garments is Turkish in nature. Only in recent years have period Persian garments been unearthed allowing a clear understanding of shape. Therefore, I’m transitioning into more Turkish studies to have a broader knowledge base of Middle Eastern garments with a fit that flatters my figure.
I am by no means an expert and would greatly appreciate commentary, input or any additional information into the study of Safavid Persia and Ottoman Turkey.
Please feel free to email me should you wish to discuss any material on this website.
Hey beautiful.
Thank you for posting all these blogs.
